What are the applications for Ferhydrox®?

An anaerobic digestion plant is a facility that converts organic waste into biogas and biomethane.

FERHYDROX® is used for ANAEROBIC DIGESTION (biogas production) in:

  • On-farm facilities
  • Centralised facilities

What are the properties of Ferhydrox® iron hydroxide?

  • A finely ground and graded mineral powder very rich in active iron in the form of iron hydroxide,
  • Mineralogy, chemistry and particle size that promote reactivity,
  • Very low heavy metal content,
  • Eliminates hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) in digesters through precipitation, forming iron sulphide and sulphur. It prevents the formation of sulphur dioxide (SO₂), a highly corrosive gas that attacks the plant. It enables the biogas to be purified in the digester whilst allowing the digestate to be reused as fertiliser,
  • Used preventatively to rapidly reduce H₂S peaks and curatively at a low dosage,
  • Very high iron hydroxide content, well above that found on the market,
  • Particle size and density optimised for dispersion of the product within the mixture,
  • Non-hazardous product that can be handled safely by users,
